Bio

Kwame Nsia-Apau popularly known as Okyeame Kwame is a Ghanaian musician, songwriter, creative director and developmental Activist who founded the Okyeame Kwame Foundation and is currently the Ambassador for Climate Clock where he launched a project to nurture about 2000 climate champions from Senior and Junior High Schools in Ghana to instil climate consciousness in these young children. According to Kwame, the climate clock was being used to explain the concept of climate change to these young people, where the project included tree planting by the students to symbolize commitment to protecting and safeguarding the environment. During the World Climate Emergency Day Celebration which was on the 22nd of July, OK Foundation organized a peaceful walk, led by Okyeame Kwame, taking 500 students, some climate-conscious NGOs and other climate enthusiasts to Parliament to petition parliamentarians through the climate caucus to be more ambitious in setting climate goals. Furthermore, Okyeame Kwame hosted a group of Climate Changemakers including the UN resident coordinator,  Charles Abani, the Country Director for Solidaridad, Bossman Owusu, Gan Golan (co-creator of the climate clock and climate strategist at climate clock), Dr Winston Asante (Consultant and lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology) and amongst others to discuss with the public about the urgency of climate action.
